Grace Killelea is CEO and founder of The GKC Group, a leadership development company that launched “Half The Sky Leadership,” a program dedicated to the advancement of high-potential women. She is piloting “Quattro,” a co-ed leadership program. The GKC Group also offers executive coaching and consulting. Killelea’s career as a human resources and talent leader spanned 35 years in the retail and telecommunications industries. She served as senior vice president of talent at Comcast Cable Corporation before launching her company in 2012. For more than a dozen years, she was the national facilitator for a selective, intensive leadership curriculum for women in the telecommunications industry, where she worked with and mentored more than 1,000 executive women leaders. Killelea holds a master’s degree in human resources from American University’s Kogod School of Business and Public Affairs. She is a certified Birkman Consultant and trained at the Center for Creative Leadership. Her book, The Confidence Effect, builds on her passion for helping women to connect their competence to their confidence, showing them how to take charge of their own careers by building relationships; learning to show their true, authentic selves as their brand; building a focus on results; and taking accountability and discovering how to embrace change, bounce back and move forward.
